Pake getting air... Riding is great therapy for his hand! I think it has strengthened his arm too!

Tate jumping Pake's 70.... he's growing out of his Honda 50. He gets on Pake's 70 every chance he gets! And that's my old JEEP I love it!

Brother Brian's Surprise Birthday Party

Kerry Don and I hosted a birthday party for Brian this weekend. Christy and I teach together and have been good friends for several years. Brian works for the electric company, but he's also a preacher on the side. He is such an awesome guy! The West Family: Emily, Brianna, Christy, Addie and Brian. They have 3 sweet beautiful girls!
Kerry Don made Brian a disk to cook on. They use these on the turkey fryer burners. They work great for cooking breakfast at the lake!

Brian and his oldest daughter Brianna! What a pretty girl... I can't believe she's getting married in May!

Jeanine and JT..... These two are something else! This is Brian's sister-in-law and nephew. They sure are missing Brad (Brian's brother).... it has almost been a year since he's been gone. They are so strong though and JT is a very respectful young man. It has been great getting to know them! JT is a freshmen in Silverton.

Hunter O and Traci! Hunter and Pake are just 2 weeks apart and have been friends since before they could walk. I think this is a very sweet picture! Traci is also a school teacher and working on her master... I'm so proud of her!

It took some coaxing but I finally got their picture. I think they surprised Brian pretty good.

The good thing about hosting something at the house is that it motivates me to CLEAN. I gave the garage a major cleaning! It was sooo filthy and junky.... I'm trying to figure out how we accumulate sooo much junk! Seriously where does it come from? Maybe it will stay clean for a few days!

Golfing in January!?

We have had some beautiful days here lately, so we've been hitting the golf course every chance we get. The boys love to go out there but we have to remind them to be quiet! Come to think of it... I have to keep reminding myself the same thing! If I actually hit a good shot, I tend to follow it with a big hoop and holler. The problem is hitting a good shot doesn't happen very often for me.

Pake got golf clubs for Christmas, so he loves trying his out! Hunter already had golf clubs and Tate just shares with them. NOTE: They are all lefties.... even Kerry Don! It's ironic that my husband and 2 boys are all left handed and even Hunter (my 3rd child) is a lefty!

Doesn't this make Hunter and Pake look so grown up! I'm glad they're interested and are learning when they're young! Maybe they'll become pros... lol

Just wanted share some shots of us golfing.... Who knew we'd get to golf sooo much in January! It's cool and NO mosquitos makes it even better! The Tule Lake Golf Course is right beside a wildlife refugee... last night we saw the prettiest fox. He had a big ole bushy tail. We also saw deer and turkey last night!

A Day of Fun at Aunt Pat's

We went to Muleshoe for our great Aunt LaVerne's 98th birthday party. Unfortunately, LaVerne got the stomach bug and didn't get to come. We sure were sad she didn't get to come, but I guess we basically had the party with out her. We had family come from as far as, east of Dallas. The food and fellowship as always were outstanding!

Tripp always plays tag football with the kids... he had a pretty big group of us. Even Hope, Preston and I played. Pake isn't in this picture because he headed back in the house for more chocolate cake!
We had FOUR cakes... Yes Four! Tori made the red velvet, Hope made the way CUTE fondue 3 tierd cake, and Pat made Angel food and chocolate.

Trail, Tate and Carly (Carly is from Rockwall east of Dallas)...

these three became buddies in Buffalo Gap this year at our family reunion.

Her personality is really starting to come out, and I think she's going to be a character. Also, I have to comment on the orange chair.... you know this is Aunt Pat's house because she loves the color orange!

Riley, Tori and Hope ~ We had tonz of good food! Of course! I will tell a funny on Mom and me.... we made this cranberry salad stuff... forgot the sugar... yeah it didn't turn out sooo good but it was pretty!

Tori sewing... she's such the little miss homemaker! I'm actually jealous, wish I had more patiences. She made 4 aprons and they were sooo cute. She made mine cowgirl!

Riley playing with the boys... they roped and played football! The little boys just think Riley is IT! Also, Tori and Riley made the boys roping dummies out of PVC pipe... they are great and the boys LOVE them... finally they can rope something other than KD's mechanicing stool.

Tripp's kids: Autumn, Trail and Summer.... We watched the video they shot this summer when they were visiting Mimi and Papa! Summer was the reporter and it was hiliarious!

Sandy (Mimi and Papa's red border collie) had puppies and I wanted to take one home sooo bad! But then my better judgement kicked in and I realized we had NO business with a puppy! But they were adorable and the kids had fun playing with them!
