Girls Golf Day

We had a girls golf day on Tuesday of Spring Break. We met on the driving range at 11 and Teddy gave us lessons. We had lunch at El Sarape. Then, we hit the course and golfed 9 holes. We scrambled which is lots of fun! In this picutre it's Leslie, Traci, Trisha, Paula, Julie, Marry, Judy and I.

Our golf course has lots of wild life. This is a fox that was up in a tree. I didn't know foxes got up this high in trees but sure enough. He's so cute!

Tate did great yesterday. He stayed with his Daddy. Then, when KD came out to golf he brought him out to me. He has had very little pain and he's been so tough. He didn't ride his motorcycle yesterday. But I'm sure he's going to try it out soon!

A great start to Spring Break

Tate has a broken arm.... actually a buckle fracture. He fell out of a tree behind Traci's house last night. Kerry Don and I had golfed and were headed home when Traci called and said we needed to check on him. We took him in for an Xray and sure enough it's broke. Thankfully it's not a bad break. Dr. Culwell said the bone was smashed, kinda like a coke can smashs if you step on it. Dr. C splinted it and said he'll cast it next week. We told Tate that he didn't have a tail, that he isn't a monkey.

I thought his arm was really red.... well we got to looking at it, it was actually sunburned. The boys had been with Kerry Don all day and got a SUNBURN.... had snow last Friday and got a sunburn on Monday.... Kinda funny. Pake had on a sleeveless shirt and his arms were pretty red.

All and all I guess we're just getting started with Spring BREAK! Tate thinks he can still ride his motorcycle... but he says he's going to have to go back to his little 50.

Snow in MARCH!!!

Finally, some moisture! Of course, the pretty snow is already all gone. BUT, who knew mud could be so pretty!

Spring Break is finally here! We're sooo excited. We don't have plans to go anywhere at this time. We'll be babysitting Napolean (PoPo), Dexter's family pooch. He's alittle Yorkie and we love having him! And of course, we have plans to golf as much as possible. The boys are looking forward to riding too! Hope everyone enjoys their Spring Break!

Miss Maxie Ruth Adams

This is Maxie our darling mutt. She came from Sandhill Feedyard in Earth, Texas, thanks to the Townsend's. Her daddy is Trail's boxer, Max, and her momma is Jenny, Tripp's feedyard dog. They ask me what kind of dog she is and I tell them half boxer, half cowdog.... they're like what. I say yeah, cowdog like border collie, austrailia shephard, blue heeler, and maybe some coyote. But Maxie has been a wonderful dog.

Just recently she has started coming in the house. Her spot is on the stairs so she can see everything going on. But, if she hears a dirt bike leave she is at the door wanting out. She has to go everywhere the boys go. This last weekend the boys were gone and she wanted in the house, went upstairs looking for them, and everytime she heard a vehicle pull up she was looking to see if it was her boys.

I always said I wanted a good for nothing dog and I got her... she's so sweet and wonderful.

Well I guess this post says it all, don't have much to write about.... so I write about my dog! We had a busy weekend though, I just didn't get any pictures. The boys went to Clarendon for Kendi's birthday to ride horses. Then Saturday we got a room in Amarillo and took the boys to the Arena Cross motorcycle races. Now we're ready for spring break and it looks like we're going to get some winter weather with it too!

Just Some Rambling Thoughts of Mine....

This year is flying! It is so hard to believe that it's almost spring break. Where did this year go? Pake is almost 10 and Tate almost 7... WOW! Blows my mind. My boys are growing up way too fast!


We've been hanging out at the golf course this week since we've had unseasonably beautiful weather. Of course now here's the weekend and it's going to be cold! Pake is really loving golf.... He beat several of my shots on Wednesday evening (course that's not saying much, but he just loves to say... "I beat you Mom!"). On hole number 7 he hit it on the edge of the green with his first hit! He just amazes me! Most of the time he hits it straight basically just using one arm. I hope golf is something he can have fun with. Tater gets frustrated but I told him he has to keep practicing. Kerry Don's been improving his golf game too... shot only 5 over Par on 9 holes last night! I'm going to have to take some lessons I guess! Looks like this is what the boys are going to be wanting to do.

I'm looking forward to the weekend.... even though it involves a mountain of laundry!

Valentines Dinner for City Church

Our Kaleidoscope Club did a meal for City Church this week. We fixed them lasagna, French bread and brownies. All the kids loved it. Our boys got to help serve. I thought it was a good experience for them. Sometimes its a blessing to just be able to help out!

A Saturday to Remember

Mimi took us out to eat for our birthdays. Summer's was in December, KD & Autumn's in January, Tori, Tripp & Hope in February and mine in March. We went to Kabuki! Pake, Quiton, Summer, Autumn, Trail & Tate... we're glad that Summer's beau came too!

They rode all day yesterday.... Pake loves his new Honda 100.... Tate got a new back tire on the 70! They LOVE their dirt bikes!

We had a nice dinner with family on Saturday. Then, we got our first taste of the new Nascar season! Yeah.... we're glad it's back to hearing "Gentleman Start your Engines" EVERY weekend! My Biffle wrecked 3 times though... ehhhh! BUT, It's Daytona next weekend!

BOOGITY, BOOGITY, BOOGITY.... LET'S GO RACING BOYS!

New Hobby
I have a new hobby that I am sooooo excited about! Kerry Don has many hobbies: restoring old cars, building things-- anything he puts his mind to, and now his latest... golfing (which I'm also getting it to as well and don't know when I'm going to have to time for it). My little sister has taken up sewing which I'm extremely impressed by and jealous-- TORI!

Anyway, my new hobby is digital scrapbooking. I have always loved pictures and taking them. I enjoyed scrapbooking, but could never find the time to sit down and get it done. I have been aggravated at myself for not getting any albums done. So, I started looking on the the computer at digital scrapbooking. There's tons of information out there. I have spent many hours trying to figure it all out..... I still have sooo much to learn. But, I finally got about 20 pages done and sent them to the printer. I was really pleased with the results. I think it is so awesome that I never have to go to a scrapbooking store for supplies. I just download them right off the internet and create my pages. Then, I send my pages to a printing company online and they just mail them right to me. Plus, they are even 12x12 pages. So, finally I have something to occupy all my extra time (LOL) and I can perserve all the memories my boys are creating for our family! Actually, sometimes it's funny how much I can get done around the house in such a short amount of time, so I can sit down at the computer and play with my digi scrapping!
